Me: Whats wrong?
Kayli: I had a bad dream. (sobbing)
Me: What happened? ( sitting up excited my poor little baby had a nightmare and I'm gonna get to find out what she dreams about.)
Kayli: We were driving and we drove into a big pond.
Thats about it, she climbed in to bed between Josh and I and went back to sleep. The next night she did the same thing this time saying she dreamed about monsters trying to scratch her wall to make a hole to come eat her. The funny thing is that morning when I went in there to help her get dressed I heard the monsters scratching myself. Evidently we have a mouse epidemic, anyone have a good cat they want to get rid of? I need a good mouser!
On another note, I had this great idea yesterday to take the girls to the hospital in town because there is a big pond there and I thought they would enjoy getting to feed the ducks and eat a picnic lunch. Even better I decided to walk, we needed the exercise and it would help save gas money. The girls were so excited all morning long, we packed a huge picnic and couldn't wait to go. Well, once outside I realized that Josh had the stroller in his truck.

Well I had promised the girls so I decided to go ahead and go. 1/2 way there poor Suzi refused to go any farther (can't go on a fun walk without taking the dog.) Poor thing was hot and tuckered out, as where my girls. I ended up having to carry Kat and Suzi and we only made it to the library. We ate our picnic outside then went inside to cool off and read some books.

The walk home was awful, Kayli and Kat both cried alot because they were tired and hot, we stopped under every tree for a break. Kayli kept asking me if we could wait for Daddy to come get us.

It was pathetic, funny thing is Josh got off work a little earlier than normal and he did end up coming to get us. THANK YOU JESUS!!! That is the absolute last time I ever take my children for a walk through town without a stroller.
I thought of another conversation Josh had with Kayli.
Kayli: Granddaddy is dead. (Yes my child is morbid and very random.)
Josh: Yes, but he is in heaven with God and one day we will see him again.
Kayli: God is dead to?
Josh: No God is alive, he is in heaven, and with you to, all the time.
Kayli: God is not in my heart.
Josh: Oh really. Where is God?
Kayli: God is in food, I eat God, He is in my tummy.
Where she gets these things I have no idea. Maybe it has something to do with praying before we eat. Whatever the case, we need to do a better job of teaching this kid about God.
One last funny tidbit, I have to share. This is Kayli's bedtime prayer the night before last.
Dear God- Thank you for Mommy and Daddy playing outside with me it was fun. Sorry for cutting my hair, sorry for cutting Katherine's hair, I was a bad girl. Amen
From the mouths of babes. Sometimes I need to be more transparent before the Lord myself.
God I've messed up, I've done wrong, thankyou for loving me anyways....
Well, I know this post was all over the place but I hadn't written in such a long time and I only have a few minutes to get it typed... so there you go.
