What's YOUR favorite type of chicken?

Today between church and Grandma's house one of the boys was conducting a survey.

"Which do you like better?" He asked, "Pizza or Chicken?"

One by one he carefully tabulated everyone's answers. Then he got to Kayli.  Of course she had to over think a simple question. {That may or may not have come from her mother.}

"Well it depends. If it is the animal chicken that you kill and cook and eat, then chicken. But if it is the other kind of chicken then pizza."

I just HAD to butt into the conversation at this point. "Kayli, just out of curiosity, what other kind of chicken is there?"

"Weeellll," she said. "There is fish chicken, and chicken nuggets, and deer chicken, and...."

Yeah, we all had a good laugh.

In other news I had to dig bits of the spiky balls that fall out of trees from two tender feet. That was fun. Not really. Round two tomorrow. I'm seriously considering taking those feet to the emergency room for a numbing shot and a professional splinter removal job; however, as many as they are they are certainly not an emergency... I guess we'll see how tomorrow goes. Stinker got me back though. As I am digging in his feet he gassed me good. My eyes watered and I thought I may die before fresh air returned. At least it turned his tears to laughter for a few minutes. The good from all this is that I think we now understand why Mom says shoes must be worn outside. Maybe this rule will be followed from now on. We shall see...
