So I missed a few days but I AM doing better. At least it hasn't been a few months. :0)
So on Monday I put together a smallish pool (waist deep and just big enough to have fun in) together for the kids all by my big girl self. I even leveled the ground! Quite the accomplishment considering the entire yard is a hill. Hot sweaty work but oh so worth it for the fun it will bring to the kids. The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to hook up the pump, but no big deal. I just slapped on some duck tape. Mr. can fix it when he gets home.... well not so much. Apparently I put the dang pool together inside out. How does that even happen? Then one of the twins pooped in the pool. A big messy diarrhea poop. Joy. This my friends is what we call a pool fail. A long hot sweaty day of work and I have an inside out pool filled with poop. Not my biggest accomplishment. O'well, you can't win them all.
Tuesday... That was yesterday but I can hardly remember it.... It was loooong. Like six million years long. I fixed fish for dinner and NO ONE ate hardly a bite. Except for the dogs. They appreciated my culinary flop. So much so that they are throwing it up today. Everywhere. More Joy.
Between the poop and the throw up this house is one big giant hazardous dump. My goals today are to sanitize and take care of a mountain of laundry. {Trying to figure out a new system that fits clothes for nine people in an orderly system that is easily used and understood by all.} Oh, and I'm going to try and be a domestic diva supermom and make play dough today. Since we can't play in the poop pool we're going to give sticky goo a go. Should be fun.
