Elise I must agree, but they can't all be five star photo's and I'm still learning, I figure might as well get the duds out of the way now so I can be taking better pictures tomorrow. Thanks for your honest assessment... any tips on how to take better shots? This was taken in full daylight on a sunny day and every single picture was grainy... not sure what I was doing wrong, I understand basic camera settings... anyways it was all I had so I did what I could with it... :0) The editing was done on picnik.com... not exactly photoshop but all I have for now.
Things can be said in different manners in my opinion. Constructive critique. I believe that if you cropped in a different way, so the baby would not be as in the center of the shot, your be more please to the eyes. try not to process as much until your get the focus right. I am also still learning and struggle with focus. Grainy means your ISO was too high. \Another thing I have learned was that your subject must face the light. There are a wonderful website with tons of tip clickitupanotch.com. I did learn a lot there. Good luck and keep posting. there are always wonderful people ready to help.
WoW! I have so much I want to say here! First of all...Erica, I think you are doing a wonderful job and you handled the last comment very gracefully. Kudos for that. I don't think I would have been as nice. Every photographer has a "just starting out" period where we learn and grow. I think you're doing a wonderful job. And second....Elise, I checked out your photos and personally, I thought they were a bit dark and out of focus. And FYI...MEAN PEOPLE SUCK! Erica, I hope this doesn't discourage you from continuing to submit your work for us all to see.
