Monday Morning Musings

Just a weed.

This morning I am totally in love with Isaiah 1 and I can't keep it to myself.

Poor pitiful us.

We are  I AM so very very pitiful.

"… woe to the sinful nation, a people whose guilt is great..." BUT yet even though "...from the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness - only wounds and welts and open sores..." we have a God of Grace and Mercy who loves us anyway and gives us the chance to make a choice "...Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow."

We I deserve death and instead we I GET a chance to say yes to something we  don't deserve. "… though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.."

My prayer is that my life is truly lived for HIM and He alone that I may not be "silver {that has} become dross," or "best wine mixed with water."

I just want to be the real thing, but know in my heart of hearts that at my very best I'm just some sucky watered down boxed wine.

So thankful that he still allows me to reflect a glimmer of His Glory from time to time if only I am willing.

Such a relief that all I have to do is show up willing. Even if I am nothing but a dirty rotten stinking sinner.
