Katherine has been asking for some time now to get her ears pierced. For various reasons we have been putting it off, but finally we got it done Friday night after going out to eat for Josh's birthday. She did really well and barely cried at all, if you could have seen the smile on her face, tears still in her eyes, when she looked in the mirror and saw her earrings for the first time it would have melted your heart for sure. The best part about getting her ears pierced though, is the fact that it resulted in Kat's first 'funny.' I have been recording things Kayli says that make me laugh, and now for the first time, it's Kat's turn.
This morning when she woke up she touched her ears first thing. Daddy asked her, 'do you have earrings now Katherine?"
"No Daddy," she said, "I have oww-ings."
Pretty clever little girl and so sweet! They are tender, it hurts to clean them still, but she really is proud.
